Blessing after blessing after blessing....

For starters, Storm did really well at his yellow belt testing last friday. I don't know if its because he's my son (im sure it is) but he was really the most energetic and had the most well performed routine amongst the white belters. (you saw that coming right). He's going to know on tuesday if he made yellow belt. Im sure he did. He was really great!

I have rented one of my rooms to a 19 year old Japanese student named KANA. She will be staying at my house for around 3 months. She's really nice, although very quiet. She can't speak that much English so its a little hard to communicate. She came to church with me. She actually was surprised that the church was a very fun, happy church. She said she always thought of church as being very quiet. I introduced her to the youth and they were very accomodating to her. I didnt even realize that we had a Japanese member who talked to her and made her feel welcome. She enjoyed eating paksiw na lechon, melon juice and turon.

Jun, my other 'adopted' is so happy to have found a home at our church. He has made a lot of friends and feels very comfortable already. He took me to Costco today and paid for groceries amounting to $250. Such a blessing indeed!

Pastor Chito's message today was awesome. There were some points to his sermon that made me think. It was about "how God answers our prayers":

We must allow HIM to answer it

1) at HIS own time
2) in HIS own way
3) in HIS own power and,
4) in HIS own ability.

We need to keep on praying about something until:

1) you get an anwer
2) you get the assurance/peace that it is for you.
3) till got reveals that it is NOT his will for you.

Sometimes the problem with us is that we ask TOO little and want it answered NOW. We need to BELIEVE in advance.

There was a story about a man going to heaven and he was shown a huge wearhouse with all the things you can possibly imagine and want. . The man asked God,"what are these things?". God replied, "they are the things that were meant for YOU but you did not ask for them." Pray for big things!

Sometimes, he delays answering them to make it seem like its humanly impossible to solve it so He can take all the glory! And it is always for his own purpose.

Y'know....this message today was soooo real to me. because it is exactly what has been happening to me lately. There are a lot of things that have not come to pass yet in my life and though I may be impatient at times, I know that it will come in the right time. When I am "ready for it" and when I am "mature enough" to handle it. I need to get with the program! Amen to that!
